Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete Rosete has taken away the Miss Universe crown at 59th contest of the Miss Universe pageant that was held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, US on August 23rd. The other runners-up of this Miss Universe edition were Miss Jamaica, Miss Australia, Miss Ukraine and Miss Philippines.

Jimena Navarrete was born on 22nd of February in 1988 at Guadalajara in Mexico. She made a study of nutrition prior to her participation in beauty pageants. Her earlier winning titles are Nuestra Belleza Jalisco and the Nuestra Belleza México as well.
